ACTEC's strategy of support for micro-enterprises Our philosophy is based on the capacity of every individual to promote himself and his environ-ment. Looking beyond financial and natural resources, men and women are for us the main "resource" of deve-lopment. By means of micro-credit programmes, ACTEC enables the development of a multitude of productive initiatives directly instigated by the beneficiaries. These micro-entrepreneurs use their creativity, their work and their courage to set up their own small enterprise in very diverse fields: clothing, catering, trade, hairdressing, etc. ACTEC's support covers the granting of micro-credits and training courses adapted to the needs of micro-entrepreneurs.

ACTEC does not have any credit funds and does not administer them itself. These are managed by a local partner with considerable experience in this field showing reliable and long-term results, and with a knowledge of the economic problems affecting micro-enterprises and the financial context of the country concerned.
